History

Long-standing community involvement

City Fuel, headquartered in Manchester, NH, first started Oil Furnace repair, Oil Furnace installation, and delivery of Residential Heating Oil #2 from offices on Elm Street in the winter of 1936. In those days, the company’s primary product was coal. Fuel oil became our principal product in the 1940’s. In 1954, City Fuel moved offices to Stark Street, and in 1981, we moved to our current location at 67 Willow Street.

Today, City Fuel delivers Residential Heating Oil #2, Kerosene and Diesel Fuel, and provides services related to heating equipment for thousands of customers. We are one of the largest, locally-owned, full service fuel oil dealers serving Greater Manchester, NH including Bedford, Auburn, Hollis, Candia, Hooksett, Goffstown, Merrimack, Deerfield, Allenstown, Suncook, Londonderry, Derry, Amherst, Litchfield, Weare, Dunbarton, Pembroke and New Boston.

We are active participants in the following organizations showing leadership within the heating oil community;

• Oil Heat Council of New Hampshire
• New England Fuel Institute
• New Hampshire Motor Transport Association

City Fuel has come to live and operate by its mission statement of, “Your Heating Oil Neighbor!” Our management is actively involved in supporting our community. Here is a short list of some of the prior community service positions our management has held:
